love the concept of negative space. Pi is one of my first pictures, captured on a mountain pass in central Utah.
Smoke from wild fires make for awesome sunsets.
This handsome fella is part of the Onaqui Wild Horse Herd in the West Desert of Utah. He was kind enough to pause for a portrait.
A tree is reflected in a circular water trough on Antelope Island. I captured this photograph just after being laid off. Photography brings me great calm in the most troubling times.
If you drive on the causeway out to Antelope Island, about a mile from the entrance on the south side of the road, you'll see this stump. When I first started going out to the island, the stump was completely surrounded by water. Now it sits on dry land.

I can't tell if this bison is tired of being photographed, or deciding if my little truck, with me in it, is worth the effort.
Unfortunatly, the low water levels of the Great Salt Lake reveal items we have left behind. Exploring my love of negative space and reflections make this tire appear as if it is floating in mid air.
Another Great Salt Lake low water reveal.
In 2022, I worked a 365 project, where I captured a photograph every day. This was day 206 when everything came together: the soft light, the golden summer grass, and a fence.
Sunsets in the west are always beautiful. I do love the sunsets viewed from Antelope Island.
Moonset over the Great Salt Lake.
Even a 1500 pound bison can be cute every once in a while.
This is my favorite fall colors picture. I stopped at a trail head overlooking the valley on the Alpine Loop just east of Alpine, Utah. I was focused on the valley in front of me with all the wonderful Aspen gold. As I was getting ready to leave, I turned around and saw this. It was a great reminder to always “check 6.” You never know what wonders are behind you.
This pair of hoodoos are cuddling to keep warm.
These two old, or young, friends are glad to see each other.
Always bring your camera with you. I captured this while traveling to visit family. The storm makes a dramatic background.

These amunition bunkers are on the south side of Wendover Historic Airfield where they are a safe distance from rest of the base.
